The Barna Group is known for its research and Jun Young and David Kinnaman have put together an outstanding book that deals with the amount of technology we are faced with every day. This series of books called “Frames” are short books that intend to “give you the essential information and real life application behind one of today’s most crucial trends in less than one-quarter the length of most books.” They have succeeded in this volume.
In 87 pages Young and Kinnaman inform the reader of many issues that we are faced with in a technology rich society. How often do you check your phone each day? How lost are you if you don’t have your phone with you? Do you miss out on things around you because you are too busy checking your phone for the latest updates on the things going around you? The purpose of this book is not to encourage you to avoid technology but to show how you can be in a world surrounded by so much and use it properly without letting it take over your life.
This book is extremely easy to read and can be read in one sitting. It has many info graphics that help to illustrate the data presented throughout the book. I am looking forward to reading more of these Barna Frames in the future.
