Don't get me wrong, I love my new home, but a Chick Fil A makes everywhere better. This day will be called "Chick Fil Awesome."
Today we ventured out from our new small town home for the first time. We found ourselves in the big city of Tupelo. What's the first thing we spotted? Chick Fil A!

Today I cheated. I didn't actually take this picture today. I tried to take a picture of the copy of this one on my desk but it didn't work so well. There was a lot of glare so I decided to upload the actual picture. I didn't take this picture either. I guess I cheated twice in one post. Oh well.
I like having friends. Everyone needs friends that you can watch the dumbest YouTube videos with. If you don't have a friend like that, you need to reevaluate your friendships. We need friends. Without them, we would be all alone and that would be no fun at all. Today I am working on some stuff in the office. Trying to create some new logo options for the youth group has become a little frustrating. I've been reading about this new feature that adobe Illustrator has that makes working with text super easy. Unfortunately for me, I can't even find the button to click to use this new tool! Once I find it, things will be great. Until then... frustration city. (I'm not angry or mad or anything like that. I just can't find a pesky button to click!)
If you know where I can find the Touch Type tool, feel free to let me know. :) Have you ever wondered how fast the world turns? The camera didn't move while the picture was being taken so the trees still look normal. The stars didn't move either. How then did this picture come to be? I set the camera for a 5 minute exposure and left it alone. The result captures how the stars move over that time. It is hard to tell, but the stars make a big circle if given enough time.
Job 38:7 - "When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy" Next time you are outside on a starry night, see if you can see them move. Today I am in the office. Not to organize or clean (maybe just a little) but to work. There is so much I would like to get done, but am not sure where to begin. I guess a good start is to work on some Bible class lessons and calendars. Woo-Hoo!
Today I am working on my office. The objective was to get stuff out of boxes so I could see what I had and figure out where to put it. Sounded like a great idea at the time but now I have a desk full of stuff and nowhere to put it!
It has been amazing to see how many people are checking this blog. I have almost had 100 hits a couple of days. I had hoped for 10-20! I promise that the pictures will get better once I have my office clean and a workable space going. Don't give up on me just yet. Today was our first official day with the Hamilton Church of Christ. I taught the high school class and led singing for worship. It can be a bit over whelming to try and learn so many new faces and names but I am excited about the challenge and the future here. Come and join us if you are ever in the area!
Today we decided to organize my new office. After a lot of time and empty boxes, we are running out of space. How did I fit this much stuff in my old office?
Today we made the long journey from Cleveland Tennessee to Hamilton Alabama. We have been excited, nervous, and scared about this for some time. Now, we are here. Most of our belongings are in storage, but we are blessed with a place to lay down tonight.
When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed, When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. We are one day away from the adventure beginning. Ask me sometime about why I dislike Uhaul so much. Unfortunately, the closest Penske drop off I could find was Tupelo. Looks like this will have to work.
